Wear Your Damned Seat Belt

There’s a collective of women, some I know, many I don’t, who say they are rising. They are spiritually enlightened beings, part of a collective of empaths and healers and lightworkers, they stand in and live by their truth, and they are here to help other people, regular people like me, find my truth and make sure they are choices based on my truth.
Choices like not to wear a seat belt. They believe that it is their body and thus their choice not to wear a seat belt. They believe seat belts are wrong. That seat belts have dangerous side effects like allergies and illness, and rashes and sometimes even cause car accidents and death. Just plain wrong.
Here are three facts about seat belts: They prevent drivers and passengers from being ejected during a crash. They save thousands of lives each year, and increasing use would save thousands more. In one year alone, crash deaths and injuries to drivers and passengers cost $70 billion in medical and lost work costs.
But I digress.
According to these women, I wear a seat belt because I’m afraid. And, that I’m a brainwashed sheep. That’s pretty judgmental for a spiritually enlightened empath. But hey, what do I…
